I have been collecting quotations and distributing them by e-mail since about 1990 and started putting them out on the Internet in 1992 or1993. It started almost as a joke when a friend started writing down things that I said. It gradually turned into this “Famous Quotes” page which was the number one result when searching for Famous Quotes on Altavista and other primordial search engines for many years.
I have a feeling that most everyone has something noteable to say from time to time. They just need someone to find it and make note of it.
